FAQs

What should I expect from my first session?

I am so happy to find someone that is new to massage. The benefits cannot be expressed into words, but you will be relaxed and rejuvenated. Some delayed onset muscle soreness can occur if you have a lot of bodywork and muscle tightness. Come to your session in relaxing clothing and plan to relax the rest of the day. Drink plenty of water to hydrate your muscle tissue prior to your session and after to continue to flush out the toxins released from the massage.

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

Massage is not suitable for everyone. If you have chronic illness, or in treatment under the care of a physician, ask your doctor if massage is approved/recommended. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is light pressure for those who cannot receive deep tissue. Reiki (Energy Healing) has the fewest contraindications and can be performed without hands on placement.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Shower prior to massage, and wait as long as possible not to shower after the session. The lotion used is moisturizing and of high quality. Wore relaxing, lose fitting clothing to your session and drink a little more water than normal to make sure your are hydrated to benefit the therapist hands, and your own tissue detoxification. Wait until after your session to apply any makeup.
